Delicias is a city and one of the 67 municipalities of Chihuahua, a state in northern Mexico. A municipality is like a local government area, similar to a county in some other countries. The main city and capital of this municipality is also called Delicias.

The municipality of Delicias covers an area of about 335.4 square kilometers. That's roughly the size of a medium-sized city! It's known for its well-planned layout and important role in farming.
Population Growth
In 2010, the total population of the Delicias municipality was 137,935 people. This was a good increase from 127,211 people in 2005. This shows that more and more people are choosing to live in Delicias.

The main city of Delicias had a population of 118,071 in 2010. Besides the main city, the municipality also has many smaller towns and villages. In 2010, there were 687 of these smaller places!

The first two, Colonia Revolución and Miguel Hidalgo, are considered urban areas, meaning they are more like small cities. The others are rural, which means they are more like countryside villages.
