Delores Hall's Stage Career
Delores Hall started her career in 1968 as an original cast member of the musical Hair in Los Angeles. She was known for wearing pigtails and would open the show by singing a song called "Aquarius." She continued to be involved with Hair for several years, even performing at a special birthday celebration for the show in New York.
Later, starting in 1972, Delores Hall performed in the musical Godspell. She was famous for her powerful singing of the song "Bless The Lord," which often made the audience cheer so much that she would sing an extra part without music!
She also acted in other musicals like Dude in 1972. Delores Hall was part of two musical shows called The Night That Made America Famous and Your Arms Too Short to Box with God. For her amazing performance in Your Arms Too Short to Box with God, she won a special award called a Tony Award. This is a very important award for theater actors!
Delores Hall also released some music albums. Her first album was called "Hall-Mark" and came out in 1973. She released another album in 1979 simply titled "Delores Hall."
