Delphi, Ohio facts for kids
Delphi is a small, unincorporated community located in Huron County, Ohio. An "unincorporated community" means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government. It's just a part of the larger county.
History of Delphi
The community of Delphi is thought to have been named after another place called Delphi in New York.
For a time, this area was also known by a different name: Ripleyville. A post office, which is where people send and receive mail, was opened in Ripleyville in 1830. This post office was an important part of the community for many years. It continued to operate until 1902, when it finally closed down.
