Delsa Jennifer Solórzano Bernal (born 15 November 1971) is a Venezuelan lawyer and politician. She works as a deputy in the National Assembly. She also leads the Internal Affairs Parliamentary Commission. Solórzano is also a vice president of the Human Rights Commission for the Inter-Parliamentary Union. In 2018, she started a political party called Encuentro Ciudadano [es] and is its president.

Early Life and Education

Delsa Jennifer Solórzano Bernal was born on November 15, 1971. She went to the Universidad Central de Venezuela. There, she studied to become a lawyer. She also studied criminology.

Working in Politics

Solórzano has held important roles in Venezuelan politics. From 2011 to 2016, she was a deputy in the Latin American Parliament. This group works to bring countries in Latin America closer together.

Later, she became a deputy in Venezuela's National Assembly. This is like the country's main law-making body. She worked on important laws there.

Political Parties

Delsa Solórzano has been part of different political parties. She was once a vice president for the party called Un Nuevo Tiempo. In 2018, she left that party.

She then founded her own political party. It is called Encuentro Ciudadano, which means "Citizen Encounter." She became the president of this new party.
