Delvon Roe is an actor and a former basketball player. He played college basketball for Michigan State University. Delvon was a forward, standing 6 ft 8 in (2.03 m) tall. He stopped playing basketball in September 2011 after three years at Michigan State. He had to retire because of ongoing knee pain.

High School Basketball Star
Delvon Roe played basketball at St. Edward High School in Lakewood, Ohio. During his final year, his team was ranked among the top teams in the country by USA Today.
Sadly, Delvon missed the rest of his high school career due to a knee injury. Even with the injury, he was still considered one of the best young basketball players in the country. Experts rated him as a top recruit for college teams.
College Basketball Career
Delvon Roe played a big part for the Michigan State Spartans basketball team in 2008-2009. He played about 18 minutes in each game. That year, his team made it all the way to the National Championship Game. Delvon was the only freshman to start in that important game.
As his knee got better, Delvon played even more effectively. He was recognized for his strong play and was named to the Big-Ten All Freshman Team. He was very good at getting rebounds and making shots. In his second year, Delvon averaged 6.4 points and 5 rebounds per game. During his third year (2010–2011), he averaged 6.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game.
On September 29, 2011, Delvon Roe announced he was ending his basketball career. He had to stop playing because of constant knee pain. This meant he would miss his senior year of college basketball.
Acting Career
After his basketball career ended, Delvon Roe focused on acting. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in acting from Michigan State in just two years.
Delvon played a character named Isaac in the movie Love and Honor. This film was shown at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival and came out in the United States in 2013.
He also signed on for a film called "Race to Judgement". This movie tells the story of a real event from 1973 in Howell, Michigan. Delvon was set to play Tre, the older brother of a young woman whose murder is central to the story.
In 2019, Delvon began a regular role on the BET TV series Games People Play.
