College and Canada
In 2011, Demi received a four-year scholarship to the University of South Florida. While studying, she also played football. In 2012, she played 13 games for Vancouver Whitecaps. This team played in the pro-am North American W-League.

In 2010, she helped England reach the final of the 2010 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship in Macedonia. However, they lost to France. Later that summer, Demi played in two of England's three games at the 2010 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Germany.

Demi was disappointed not to be chosen for England's squad for the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup. But she returned to the team for the UEFA Women's Euro 2017 qualifying campaign. In the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup, Demi played left back in England's 2–0 win against Japan. She also helped England beat Norway 3–0 in the quarter-final.
Winning the Euros
