Denis Patrick Seamus O'Hare (born January 17, 1962) is a talented American actor. He is famous for his amazing performances in plays like Take Me Out and Sweet Charity. He also played the vampire king Russell Edgington in the TV series True Blood.
Denis O'Hare has appeared in many movies. Some of his well-known films include Charlie Wilson's War (2007), Milk (2008), Changeling (2008), and Dallas Buyers Club (2013).
He is also very well known for his roles in the TV show American Horror Story. In 2011, he played Larry Harvey in the first season, Murder House. For this role, he was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2012. He returned to the show in 2013 as Spalding in American Horror Story: Coven. Later, he played Stanley in American Horror Story: Freak Show, earning another Emmy nomination. His role as Liz Taylor in American Horror Story: Hotel also received great praise.

Early Life and Education
Denis O'Hare was born in Kansas City, Missouri. His mother, Margaret Karene, was a musician. He grew up playing the church organ. He has three sisters, Pam, Patricia, and Kathleen, and one brother, Michael.
He spent his childhood in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. When he was 15, his family moved to Bloomfield Hills. Denis is of Irish descent and has an Irish passport.
As a teenager, Denis sang in his school choir. In 1974, he got his first acting part in a community theater play called Show Boat. After high school, in 1980, he moved to Chicago. There, he studied theater at Northwestern University.

Denis O'Hare is married to designer Hugo Redwood. They got married on July 28, 2011. The couple has an adopted son named Declan.
