Desirée Wynea Cheng (born September 28, 1996) is a talented Filipino volleyball player. She is known for her powerful plays as an outside hitter. Desirée played for the De La Salle University's women's volleyball team during her college years. Now, she plays professionally, showing off her skills on the court.

About Desirée

Desirée is the youngest of three children. Her older sister, Djanel Cheng, is also a professional volleyball player! Desirée finished high school at Hope Christian High School. Later, she studied Sports at De La Salle University.

Volleyball Journey

Desirée has had an amazing journey in volleyball. She became a big star during her college days.

College Success

Desirée played for the DLSU Lady Spikers at De La Salle University. They were a very strong team!

  • In UAAP Season 79, Desirée helped her team win the championship. She was even named the Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP)! This means she was the best player in the championship games.
  • The next year, in UAAP Season 80, her team won again! This was their third championship in a row. Desirée was recognized as the Best Server in that season.

Professional Clubs

After college, Desirée joined professional volleyball clubs.

  • She played for the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers from 2017 to 2021. With them, she won the 2017 PSL Grand Prix Conference championship.
  • Since 2022, Desirée has been playing for the Choco Mucho Flying Titans.
