Devvon Terrell McLeod, born on October 6, 1988, is an American singer, rapper, songwriter, and music producer. He is well-known for creating cool remixes of popular songs and sharing them on YouTube. By October 2020, his YouTube channel had grown to over 800,000 subscribers. His videos had also been watched more than 170 million times!

Devvon Terrell's Early Life

Devvon Terrell McLeod was born in Brooklyn, New York City on October 6, 1988. From a very young age, Devvon dreamed of becoming a musician. He once shared with Forbes magazine that he had been involved with music his whole life.

He started college studying computer information systems. However, he soon realized he didn't want to work with computers forever. After graduating, he decided to attend Full Sail University to study audio. He called this experience "musical boot camp." It helped him realize that music was truly what he wanted to do for the rest of his life.

Devvon Terrell's Music Career

Starting His Music Journey (2010–2014)

In 2010, Devvon Terrell released two mixtapes with rapper Young X. These mixtapes were called April Fools and Download or Die. In July 2012, Devvon released his first music video for his song, "My Senses." He then released his first extended play (EP) called The Living Weirdo_o in September 2014. This EP featured the songs "I Like It" and "#WCW."

Albums and Collaborations (2015–2018)

Later that year, on December 13, 2015, Devvon released a remix of the song "Blasé" with rapper Futuristic. They then announced they would release a joint album called "Coast 2 Coast." To get fans excited, they released various remixes of popular songs, calling them "12 Days of Christmas." The "Coast 2 Coast" album came out on December 25, 2015. It reached number 82 on the US Billboard 200 chart. It also did well on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums charts.

On September 2, 2016, Devvon released his second EP, The Renaissance. This EP included the song "Why So Serious." It charted at number 27 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. It also reached number 11 on the Top R&B Albums charts.

In April 2017, Devvon released his third EP, The Mixes. On October 6, 2017, he released his second studio album, Weird Nights. The song "Temperature" was a popular single from this album. He then released Weird Nights – The Intermission, a follow-up to the album, on November 16, 2018.

New Sounds and Recent Works (2019–Present)

After Weird Nights – The Intermission, Devvon Terrell posted a video saying he would "stop making music." However, he returned to music on March 24, 2019. He also changed his style, focusing more on lo-fi music. The song "Take Me Serious" was released five days later. He then released several songs from his album The Rawe Sound, Vol 1. This album came out on July 26, 2019. A follow-up, The Rawe Sound, Vol. 1: Side B, was released in September 2019.

In May 2020, Devvon Terrell released his sixth EP, Social Distancing Together. On October 2, 2020, he released his fourth studio album, Vol. 2: Deja Vu. This album featured two singles: "Homewrecker" and "You Trippin."
