DiGiorno is a well-known brand of frozen pizzas. It is sold in the United States and is owned by a big company called Nestlé. For many years, DiGiorno pizzas were also sold in Canada under the name Delissio. However, in 2023, Nestlé stopped selling Delissio pizzas in Canada.

About DiGiorno Pizzas
DiGiorno makes a lot of pizzas every day. They produce over 250,000 pizzas daily for people across the United States! In 2017, the company made over $1 billion from selling its pizzas.
The DiGiorno brand started in 1991. Back then, they sold pastas and sauces. Pizzas became available in the U.S. and Canada starting in 1995.
The Famous Slogan
DiGiorno's famous slogan is "It's not delivery. It's DiGiorno." This catchy phrase means that their frozen pizzas are so good, they taste like they just came from a pizza shop!
In Canada, the brand changed its name to Delissio in 1999. This was because another company, Kraft, had used the Delissio name for other pizza products before.
Who Owns DiGiorno?
In 2010, the company Kraft sold DiGiorno and Delissio to Nestlé. Nestlé is a large food company based in Switzerland. This sale helped Kraft get money for other business plans.
Since Nestlé took over, DiGiorno has added more items to its frozen pizza boxes. You can now find bonus appetizers like breadsticks, boneless chicken pieces called Wyngz, and even Toll House cookies!
DiGiorno's Journey and Growth
In 2013, DiGiorno's sales growth slowed down. The company decided to make some changes to its products. Even so, the frozen food market was expected to grow around the world. This good news made Nestlé's leaders hopeful for DiGiorno's future.
Later that year, DiGiorno launched something new: the "Design A Pizza Kit." This kit let you create your own pizza! It came with a cheese pizza and separate packets of meats, vegetables, shredded cheese, and seasoning.
Social Media Fun
In May 2018, DiGiorno joined a fun social media contest. It was called the "1st Annual Best Friend Tournament." This contest was run by internet entertainers called Kinda Funny. DiGiorno competed against other brands and even famous people. The frozen pizza brand made it to the semifinals!
Changes in Canada
In February 2023, Nestlé Canada announced a big change. They decided to stop selling frozen meals and pizzas in Canada. This meant that Delissio pizzas would no longer be available there.
