Dhudhuroa is an Aboriginal language from north-eastern Victoria, Australia. For a long time, people thought it was completely gone. But now, people are working hard to bring it back to life!
This language is mostly known today from old written notes. These notes were collected by R. H. Mathews from a man named Neddy Wheeler. Dhudhuroa has been called by many names over the years. Some of these names include the Victorian Alpine language, Dyinningmiddhang, Djilamatang, and Theddora. Another language, Yaitmathang (or Jandangara), was spoken in the same area. However, it was a different language, a dialect of Ngarigu.
