Her Books

Lady Di Beauclerk wrote Summer and Winter in Norway (1868) and True Love (1869). In 1867, she traveled through Norway with her mother and their maid, Teresina. They left behind their usual comforts to experience Norway in both summer and winter.

Her travel book, Summer and Winter in Norway, was published the next year. The Pall Mall Gazette newspaper reviewed it positively. They said it was a simple story and not meant to be a travel guide.

Her second book, True Love, was praised by Morning Post. They liked its humor and characters. The newspaper even suggested that Lady Di Beauclerk could become a very popular writer. However, the Saturday Review did not like the novel as much. They called it "commonplace and dull."
