Becoming a Computer Scientist
Yilun Dianna Xu went to Smith College. She finished her first degree in computer science in 1996. She felt that going to a women's college helped her a lot. It was a supportive place where she could learn about computer science.
She then studied more at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2002, she earned her Ph.D. This is a very high degree. Her special project was about making computer shapes. After her studies, she joined the Bryn Mawr College team in 2004.
