You can reach Dick's Creek Falls by walking along the Dick's Creek Trail. This trail is pretty short, only about 1.4 miles (2.25 kilometers) round trip. It also connects to another famous path called the Bartram Trail. The falls are located in the eastern part of Rabun County, Georgia.

Finding Dick's Creek Falls

Getting to Dick's Creek Falls is an adventure! You'll travel on both paved and dirt roads. It's a fun journey to reach this hidden gem in the forest.

Starting from Clayton, Georgia

If you are coming from Clayton, Georgia, start by taking Warwoman Road. Drive east on this road for a while.

Turning onto Sandy Ford Road

Look for Sandy Ford Road and turn right onto it. Sandy Ford Road will soon make a left turn. You will cross over a bridge. After the bridge, the road changes. It becomes a dirt road.

Reaching the Trailhead

Continue following this narrow dirt road. Keep going until you see the creek crossing right over the road. Just before this "splash-through" (where the creek goes over the road), you'll find a small parking area. This is where you can park your car.

Hiking to the Falls

When you start on the trail, it might look like it splits. Take the path to the right. This path follows along the creek. You will eventually cross the Bartram Trail. There will be a bridge in front of you. Cross this bridge to keep going towards the falls. As you get closer to the Chattooga River, the falls will appear on your right side.
