Diego Esteban Simonet Moldes (born December 26, 1989) is a talented handball player from Argentina. He plays as a centre back for the club Montpellier Handball and is also a key member of the Argentina men's national handball team.

Diego has represented Argentina in many big competitions. These include the 2011 World Men's Handball Championship in Sweden, the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, the 2013 World Men's Handball Championship in Spain, and the 2015 World Men's Handball Championship in Qatar. His strong play helped Argentina win several continental championships over the years.

Diego comes from a family of handball players. His two brothers, Sebastian and Pablo, have also played for Argentina in Olympic and World Championship events.
