Around 1676, Xaraba started working as an organist. His first important job was at El Pilar in Zaragoza. This was a very important church. Later, he moved to Madrid, the capital city. There, he worked for King Carlos II in his royal chapel. This was a very prestigious position. Diego Xaraba continued to work for the king until he passed away in Madrid in 1715.
