Dime Box is a small, unincorporated community in Lee County, Texas, United States. It's a place where people live and work, but it doesn't have its own city government. Students in the area go to schools in the Dime Box Independent School District, including Dime Box High School, home of the Longhorns. The community is named after an older settlement nearby, which is now called Old Dime Box.

History of Dime Box
In 1913, a big change happened for Dime Box. The Southern Pacific Railroad built new train tracks about three miles southeast of the original town. Many people and businesses decided to move closer to these new tracks. This new location became what we know today as Dime Box. The old settlement then became known as Old Dime Box.
