Tollo is a charming town and comune (which is like a local government area) in the Abruzzo region of Italy. It's famous for its beautiful vineyards and olive groves. Tollo is nestled in the 'Hills of the Teatina,' which are small mountains connected to the Apennines. From here, you can see the sparkling Adriatic Sea to the east and the mighty Maiella Mountain to the west. Maiella is the second-highest peak in central Italy!

Exploring Tollo's Location

Tollo is both the name of the town and the area around it. This area shares borders with other towns like Canosa Sannita, Crecchio, Giuliano Teatino, Miglianico, and Ortona.

Small Villages Around Tollo

The Tollo area also includes 12 smaller villages, called frazioni. These include Colle, Colle Cavalieri, Colle della Signora, Colle Secco, Macchie, Motrino, Pedine, Piana Mozzone, Sabatiniello, San Pietro, Santa Lucia, and Venna. The whole region is surrounded by lovely vineyards and olive groves, making it a very peaceful part of Abruzzo.

There are two courses: a long one (130 km) and a shorter one (89 km).
