Discovery Kids (also known as Discovery K!ds) was a special TV channel in Australia. It was a subscription channel, meaning you paid to watch it. The channel showed factual and educational programs. It was mainly for younger kids, aged 2 to 6 years old.
About Discovery Kids
Discovery Kids started broadcasting on Foxtel on 3 November 2014. It took the place of another channel called Discovery Home & Health. Some of the shows from Discovery Home & Health moved to a different channel, TLC.
Why Discovery Kids Closed
The Discovery Kids channel stopped operating on 1 February 2020. When it closed, the space it used on TV, which had been there since 2007 with Discovery Home & Health, also disappeared. No specific reason was given for why the channel closed down.
