The Inn at Disney's Vero Beach Resort

Disney's Vero Beach Resort is a special place to stay that's part of the Disney Vacation Club. It's located in Vero Beach, Florida, right on the Atlantic Ocean. This resort was the very first Disney Vacation Club spot built outside the main Walt Disney World Resort area in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. It opened its doors on October 1, 1995.

Places to Stay

You can choose from different types of rooms and homes at the resort.

  • Deluxe Inn Rooms: These rooms offer views of the ocean or the beautiful gardens.
  • Studios and Vacation Homes: You can find Studios, One-Bedroom, and Two-Bedroom Vacation Homes.
  • Beach Cottages: For a unique experience, there are free-standing Three-Bedroom Beach Cottages right by the ocean.

All over the resort, you can use wireless internet to stay connected.

Disney's Vero Beach Resort has lots of exciting activities for families!

Swimming and Water Fun

The resort has a cool swimming pool shaped like Mickey Mouse! It's one of only two Disney pools with this fun shape. Next to the pool, you'll find the Pirate's Plunge pool slide, perfect for a splash.

Games and Activities

Around the pool area, there are more fun spots:

  • Port Holes Miniature Golf: A nine-hole mini-golf course with a Peter Pan theme.
  • Community Hall: An air-conditioned room where you can play board games, table tennis, and do arts and crafts.
  • Anchors’ A-Weigh Fitness Center: A place to work out.
  • Eb and Flo's Rentals: Here you can rent equipment for different activities.
  • Rub Dubs Massage: A place to relax with a massage.
  • Blinker's Arcade: This arcade used to have many classic and new games, but it was removed in April 2016.

The resort also offers a daily program of activities designed for families. You can rent beach equipment right on site. On the western side of the property, you'll find a volleyball court, a soccer field, a fishing pier, lighted tennis courts, and a basketball hoop. You can get to this area by going under highway A1A.

For relaxation, there's The Spa at Disney's Vero Beach. If you visit during the right season, you might even see turtle nesting grounds nearby!

The resort has several great places to grab a bite or a drink.

Wind and Waves Grill

This is a casual family restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner every day. They offer fresh Florida seafood and delicious flatbreads made in a wood-burning pizza oven.

Wind and Waves Market

This is a quick-service spot by the pool. You can grab ready-to-eat items or order hot and cold foods made fresh. The menu includes deli sandwiches, fresh salads, soups, burgers, and seafood.

Wind and Waves Bar

This bar has a walk-up counter where you can get frozen specialty drinks and other beverages.

The Green Cabin Room

Located above the main lobby, this spot has an "Old Florida" feel. It serves drinks and light snacks. You can sit inside or on a deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Often, there's live music in the evening.

Resort Closures

Disney's Vero Beach Resort has had a few times when it had to close unexpectedly. For example, it closed on March 20, 2020, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It then reopened a few months later on June 15, 2020.
