Her most famous translation was The Mountain Wreath. This is a very important poem and play in Montenegrin literature. It was written by a famous leader and poet named Petar II Petrović-Njegoš. He was known as a Prince-Bishop, which meant he was both a ruler and a religious leader. Divna Veković was the first person to translate this important work from Serbian into French.
She also translated other poems, including some by the Serbian poet Jovan Jovanović Zmaj. Her work helped share Montenegrin and Serbian literature with the world.
