Doña Juana (which means Volcano Doña Juana in Spanish) is a large, cone-shaped volcano. It is located in the Doña Juana-Cascabel Volcanic Complex National Natural Park in Nariño, Colombia.
This volcano is known for its powerful eruptions. Its last big eruption was in 1906. This event caused a lot of damage, killing over 100 people and destroying many homes. Scientists rate Doña Juana's eruptions as "large" and "cataclysmic" because of their destructive power.
The biggest eruption we know about happened on November 13, 1899. Even before that, in ancient times (around 2300 BC), it had a huge eruption that created a caldera, which is a large bowl-shaped hollow.
