How the Show Was Made
Do dzwonka was a special project because it was the very first original TV series made by Disney Channel Poland!
Maciej Bral, a representative from Disney Channel Poland, shared how important it was to create shows that connect with local audiences. He said:
The Disney company really cares about making local shows that fit well with our global plans and help us connect more deeply with our viewers. We are super excited to show off our first Polish local production, the short series Do dzwonka. This also gives us a chance to work with FremantleMedia Poland. This show lets us be creative in how we develop our programs. Right now, we are looking for Polish talent. We are searching for twelve promising young actors to play the main roles. This type of show has been a huge hit all over the world. We hope it will be just as successful in Poland.
On June 24, 2010, it was officially announced that Disney Channel Poland would create its first original series. Maciej Bral explained that it would be a Polish version of Quelli dell'intervallo, an Italian Disney Channel series. This Italian show had already been adapted into many other versions around the world. Some of the most popular adaptations were the British and American versions, both known as As the Bell Rings.
The first advertisements for Do dzwonka started appearing on Disney Channel Poland on September 18, 2010, getting everyone excited for the new show!
