History of Doddsville
Doddsville was first planned and settled in the 1830s. A man named Samuel Dodds was responsible for setting up the community. The place was named after him. A post office was opened in Doddsville in 1839. This post office helped people send and receive mail for many years. It stayed open until 1903.
