The Dodge Nitro was a special type of car called a compact SUV. It was made by the Dodge brand, which is part of a bigger company called Chrysler.
The Nitro was first shown to the public in February 2005. This happened at a big car show in Chicago. Production of the Nitro started in 2006. There were two main versions, or "generations," of the Nitro. The second one came out in 2011. A person named Dennis Myles designed this car. Dodge stopped making the Nitro in 2012.
