Dodson, Ohio facts for kids
Dodson is a small place in Ohio, a state in the United States. It's called an unincorporated community, which means it doesn't have its own local government like a city or a village. Instead, it's part of Montgomery County.
How Dodson Started
Dodson was founded in 1851 by a person named B. H. Dodson. The community was named after him.
Just one year later, in 1852, a railroad line reached Dodson. This was a big deal because trains helped people travel and move goods. A post office also opened in Dodson in 1853. It helped people send and receive letters and packages until it closed in 1901.
