Dolores is a small town, also called a municipality, located in the country of Honduras. It's part of the Intibucá region in Honduras. This area is known for its beautiful landscapes and rich cultural history.
Who Lives in Dolores?
In 2013, about 5,140 people lived in Dolores. Most of the people living here are Indigenous, especially from the Lenca group. The Lenca people have a long history in this region.
There are also people of mixed European and Indigenous heritage (called Mestizo). Some residents are of European descent (called White), and others are of African descent (called Afro-Honduran or Black). This mix of cultures makes Dolores a diverse place.
