Early Life and Learning to Fly

Dolors Vives was born in a town called Valls on August 15, 1909. When she was 12, her family moved to Barcelona. Her father was a pharmacist, and her family encouraged her to be independent.

After the War

When the war ended, many people who supported the Republican side left Spain. But Dolors Vives stayed in Barcelona. She became a piano teacher and took care of a large family with 12 children.
