Dominique Dupuis (born 1987) is a talented Canadian violinist. She is famous for playing Celtic music. She was born in Memramcook, New Brunswick, Canada.
Dominique started playing the violin at a very young age. When she was just nine years old, she performed on stage. This was at the Pays de la Sagouine in Bouctouche. By the age of 12, she played at a big event. This was the opening ceremony of the Festival International de Louisiane. It took place in Lafayette. She released her first music album in 2000. It was called Le Bonheur des coups d’Archet. Her second album, Sans Relâche, came out in 2002.
Dominique Dupuis studied both classical and traditional music. She first performed in Europe in 2002. She played at the Festival de la Cité in Lausanne. She also performed at Expo '02 in Yverdon-des-Bains. Since 2004, she has often played at the Festival Interceltique de Lorient. This is a famous festival in Brittany, France. French media called her a young ambassador for Acadian culture. She has performed in many countries. These include Italy, France, and the U.S.A.
Dominique was recognized for her amazing talent. She was a finalist in 2003. This was for the Instrumental Artist of the Year award. It was at the East Coast Music Awards. She also took part in the Canadian Grand Masters fiddling Championships.
