Donald Adeosun Faison (born June 22, 1974) is an American actor and comedian. He is well-known for playing Dr. Chris Turk in the TV show Scrubs from 2001 to 2010. He also had a big role as Murray in the movie Clueless (1995) and its TV series.
Donald Faison also starred as Phil Chase in the TV show The Exes (2011–2015). You might have seen him in movies like Remember the Titans (2000) and Kick-... 2 (2013).

Early Life
Donald Adeosun Faison was born on June 22, 1974, in Harlem, New York City. His mom, Shirley, was a talent agent, and his dad, Donald, was a building manager. Both his parents were involved with the National Black Theatre in Harlem. They separated in 1992. Donald has a younger brother named Olamide Faison, who is a singer and musician.
Donald went to the Professional Children's School in Manhattan. His best friend, actor Dash Mihok, went to the same school.
Acting Career
Donald Faison started acting when he was 15 years old. His first role was in a 1989 commercial for Folgers coffee. He played the younger brother of a soldier coming home from war.
In 1992, he appeared in an ABC News special called Prejudice: Answering Children's Questions. He also had a small part in the movie Sugar Hill.
Famous Roles
Donald became famous for his role as Murray Duvall in the 1995 movie Clueless. He then continued this role in the television series, which ran from 1996 to 1999. In 1995, he was also in Waiting to Exhale as Tarik. He played Petey Jones in the movie Remember the Titans (2000).
His most famous role is Dr. Chris Turk in the comedy-drama Scrubs. This show was very popular and ran for many years. He also starred in Big Fat Liar with Frankie Muniz and Amanda Bynes.
Voice Acting and Other Projects
Donald Faison has done a lot of voice work for cartoons. He voiced characters in the MTV animated series Clone High. In 2008, he was the voice of Gary the Stormtrooper in Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II. He even learned about stop-motion animation and started his own Star Wars-themed Lego stop-motion show called BlackStormTrooper on YouTube.
From 2018 to 2020, he voiced Hype Fazon in Star Wars Resistance. This character was even named after him!
Donald has also been in many music videos. He appeared in videos for Brandy's "Sittin' Up in My Room" and Fall Out Boy's cover of Michael Jackson's "Beat It."
Since March 2020, Donald Faison and his Scrubs co-star Zach Braff have hosted a podcast called Fake Doctors, Real Friends. They share fun stories and experiences from filming Scrubs.
Donald also created a web series called Alabama Jackson for Adult Swim's YouTube channel, which started in 2022. He plays the main character in the show.
Personal Life
Donald Faison has six children. His first son, Sean, was born in 1996.
He was married to Lisa Askey from 2001 to 2005. They had three children together: twins Kaya and Dade (born 1999), and Kobe (born 2001).
On December 15, 2012, Donald married his second wife, CaCee Cobb. They had been dating for six years. They have two children, Rocco (born 2013) and Wilder Francis (born 2015). Their wedding was held at the home of Donald's best friend, Zach Braff.
When Lisa Askey, Donald's first wife, passed away in 2017, their children moved in with Donald and CaCee. Donald Faison is also the first cousin of actor Julian Horton.
