Donald Malloy was born on November 28, 1955. He is an American gospel musician. He became well-known by singing with the New Jersey Mass Choir. He was a featured singer on their 1985 song, "I Want to Know What Love Is." This song was originally recorded with the band Foreigner.
The next year, Malloy started his solo music career. He released his first album, Holy Spirit. His solo career really took off in 1990. That year, he released the album There Is No Limit. This album was put out by Atlanta International Records. Donald Malloy has released several albums. Most of them have appeared on the Billboard magazine Gospel Albums chart.

Donald Malloy was born in Cheraw, South Carolina. His birthday is November 28, 1955. His parents were James Robert and Loreain Malloy. Donald was the fifth child in his family. His mother noticed his musical talent early on. She quickly put him in the choir at Pleasant Grove AME Zion Church. There, he sang solos.
Today, Malloy is a music minister. He works at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey. Rev. Milton Biggham is the senior pastor there. Donald also studied at Lincoln Business School. He earned a degree in Business Management.
Music Career Highlights
Malloy first became famous as part of the New Jersey Mass Choir. This group had just worked with the rock band Foreigner. They helped with the number one hit song "I Want to Know What Love Is" in 1984/85.
In 1985, the New Jersey Mass Choir released their own version of the song. Donald Malloy was one of the main singers on this recording. It was the title song of their album that year. The album also had gospel versions of other popular songs.
