Donga is one of the twelve departments in the country of Benin. It is located in the western part of Benin. The capital city of Donga is Djougou.

History of Donga
Donga became its own department in 1999. Before that, it was part of a larger area called Atakora. This change helped to better manage the different regions of Benin. Djougou was chosen as the capital city for the new Donga department.

Donga covers an area of about 10,691 square kilometers. That's roughly the size of a small country! The department is home to various landscapes. You can find different types of land here, from plains to hills.
People and Population
