Donna Kriekle is a talented Canadian artist. She was born in 1945 in Southey, Saskatchewan. Today, she lives in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Donna loved art from a young age. She studied at the University of Regina, earning a degree in 1969. There, she learned from famous artists like Arthur McKay and Ted Godwin. She also took more art classes at Concordia University in 1970.
Donna Kriekle's Art Career
Donna Kriekle has shared her love for art with many students. She taught painting at the University of Regina from 1980 to 1989. She also taught through the MacKenzie Art Gallery's special programs.
One of her artworks was featured on special collector coins. In 2015, the Royal Canadian Mint released a set of silver maple leaf coins. These coins celebrated the long reign of Queen Elizabeth II. Donna Kriekle's art was chosen for these beautiful coins.
