Doran Park is a cool baseball field located in Bourne, Massachusetts. It's a big part of the Barry J. Motta Athletic Complex. This park is the home field for the Bourne Braves, a team in the famous Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL).

Discovering Doran Park
Doran Park opened its doors in 2006. The Bourne Braves baseball team started playing their home games here that year. Before this, they played at other fields since 1988.
Honoring George Doran, Sr.
In 2007, the park was officially named "Doran Park." This was done to remember George Doran, Sr. He was a big baseball fan from the area. People said the park was a great example for other fields in the Cape League.
Bright Lights for Night Games
The Doran family gave a special gift to the park. In 2008, new lights were installed. These lights were so good, they were like those used in minor league baseball. Now, the Braves could play exciting games at night! A former Braves player, Lou Merloni, even spoke at the lighting ceremony.

Doran Park has seen many thrilling baseball games and events. It's a special place for the Bourne Braves and the entire Cape Cod Baseball League.
Championship Victories
In 2009, Doran Park hosted the CCBL championship series. The Bourne Braves won their first-ever league championship right here! They beat the Cotuit Kettleers in an amazing series.
Hosting the All-Star Game
The park also hosted the CCBL All-Star game in 2014. This was a big event for the Braves and their fans. It was the first time the team had hosted such a special game.
More Championship Action
In 2017, Doran Park again hosted the CCBL championship series. This time, the Braves played against the Brewster Whitecaps. Even though the Braves didn't win that year, it was still a memorable series.
Future Baseball Stars
Many talented players have played at Doran Park. Some of them later became famous in Major League Baseball. Players like Mitch Moreland, Travis Jankowski, and Pete Alonso all played here during their college years.
