Dorcas Blackwood, born Dorcas Stevenson (1726 – 1807), was an important Irish noblewoman. She was the first Baroness Dufferin and Claneboye. This special title was given to her to honor her husband, Sir John Blackwood. She came from a well-known family in Killyleagh, County Down, Ireland.

Marriage and Family Life

In May 1751, Dorcas married Sir John Blackwood. He was a baronet, which is a hereditary title, and a member of parliament. Sir John represented the areas of Killyleagh and later Bangor in the Irish Parliament.
