Get ready to hop into an adventure with Dot and the Bunny! This animated Australian movie from 1983 is a fun sequel to the earlier film, Dot and the Kangaroo. It continues the story of Dot, a brave girl who can talk to animals.

The Story of Dot and the Bunny

The film begins with Dot on a special mission. She is deep in the Australian bush, searching for a lost baby kangaroo, called a joey. Dot wants to help reunite the joey with its mother.

During her search, Dot meets a very silly bunny rabbit. This bunny tries to convince Dot that he is the lost joey! Dot finds his playful tricks very funny. She decides to name her new friend 'Funny Bunny'.

Together, Dot and Funny Bunny continue their important search. As they travel, Funny Bunny shares a sad secret. He has been all alone since his family was lost. He is a very lonely rabbit.

Finally, they find the mother kangaroo. She is still looking for her own baby. But when she sees the lonely Funny Bunny, she knows she can help. She decides to take care of him, giving him a new family.

A Special Kind of Animation

Dot and the Bunny uses a unique animation style. It combines hand-drawn cartoon characters with real-life backgrounds. This makes the Australian bush look very realistic in the film.
