Dove Bar facts for kids
A Dove Bar is a popular American ice cream bar. It was first created by a man named Leo Stefanos in 1956. He owned a sweet shop called Dove Candies & Ice Cream in Chicago.
The Dove Bar became available all across the United States in 1984. Just two years later, in 1986, a big company called Mars Inc. bought the Dove brand. This included both Dove chocolate and the ice cream bars. Today, Mars still makes Dove Bars.

What is a Dove Bar?
Most Dove Bars have creamy vanilla ice cream inside. This ice cream is covered in a layer of either milk or dark chocolate.
But there are many other kinds too! You can find Dove Bars with chocolate ice cream. Some even have fruit sorbet instead of ice cream. Others have chocolate coatings with crunchy nuts. You can buy these ice cream bars one at a time or in packs of three.
Other Dove Ice Cream Treats
Besides the bars, Dove also makes ice cream in larger containers called pints. They also have smaller versions called "Minis." The pints of ice cream often have a special layer of chocolate ganache on top. This ganache layer even has the Dove logo pressed into it!
Where are Dove Bars Made?
In the United States, Dove Bars are made in a town called Burr Ridge, Illinois.
