Dover: A Historic Spot
Dover is an unincorporated community in the northeast part of the township. This means it's a recognized place, but it doesn't have its own separate local government.
One of the first settlers in Clare County, William Crawford, moved to Dover with his family in 1866. A post office served the community from 1882 until 1905.
