Meet the Drago Family

The Drago family includes four brothers: Tanino, Calogero, Celestino, and Giacomino. Giacomino is a big part of 11 restaurants in Los Angeles. These include famous spots like Il Pastaio and Via Alloro in Beverly Hills. He is seen as a key leader in the family's restaurant business.

Celestino Drago moved to Los Angeles from Sicily in the mid-1970s. His first job was as a chef at Osteria Romana Orsini. Later, he opened his own important Italian restaurant called Celestino in Beverly Hills. This restaurant closed later, but it reopened in Pasadena. Celestino also helped his three brothers come from their family restaurant in Messina to Los Angeles.

Some of the Drago family's special dishes have even been featured in cookbooks!
