Duboisia is a group of plants often called corkwood trees. These plants are small shrubs or trees that can grow up to 14 meters (about 46 feet) tall. They have very light wood and thick, cork-like bark. There are four different types, or species, of Duboisia plants. All of them grow in Australia, and one type can also be found in New Caledonia.

What do Duboisia plants look like?
The leaves of Duboisia plants grow in an alternating pattern along the stem. They are smooth and have a narrow, oval shape.
Flowers and fruits
The flowers grow in an open, branching cluster called a cymose panicle. These small, white flowers appear at the tips of the branches. Sometimes, the tube part of the flower has purple or mauve stripes. Duboisia plants produce many flowers in the spring. After flowering, they grow small, round, black, and juicy fruits called berries.
Where do Duboisia plants grow?
All four species of Duboisia are native to Australia. One species, Duboisia myoporoides, is also found in New Caledonia, an island nation in the Pacific Ocean. These plants are well-adapted to their natural environments in these regions.
