Dulcé Lazaria Sloan, born on July 4, 1983, is a talented American stand-up comedian and actress. Many people know her from her time as a senior correspondent on The Daily Show, a popular comedy news show on Comedy Central.

Early Life and School
Dulcé Sloan was born in Miami, Florida. She spent most of her childhood growing up in both Atlanta, Georgia, and Miami. She finished high school at Meadowcreek High School in Georgia in 2001.
After high school, Dulcé went to Brenau University. There, she earned a special degree called a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance. This means she studied acting and performing. She also studied Spanish as a minor subject.
Her Career in Comedy and Acting
Dulcé Sloan started doing stand-up comedy in May 2009. Her friends, who worked at a place called the Funny Farm Comedy Club, encouraged her to try it out.
In 2015, she was recognized as a "New Face of Comedy" at a big event called the Just For Laughs comedy festival. That same year, she won the 12th annual StandUp NBC comedy showcase. She made her first appearance on a late-night TV show, Conan, in February 2016. A few months later, she won the 2016 Big Sky Comedy Festival in Billings, Montana.
Dulcé then appeared on other TV shows like Comedy Knockout and The Steve Harvey Show. She also worked as a reporter for E! News Daily. In September 2017, she joined The Daily Show as a correspondent, which means she reported on different topics in a funny way. Her own comedy special, Comedy Central Stand-Up Presents, aired in October 2019. In 2021, she helped host CNN's New Year's Eve Live celebration with Don Lemon.
Dulcé also uses her voice for acting! She is the voice of a character named Honeybee in the Fox animated TV show The Great North. She has also been a guest on the radio show Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!.
She hosts a weekly podcast called "Chasing K-Dramas." On this podcast, she and her friend Chrissy Choi talk about popular Korean dramas, going through each episode.

Dulcé Sloan is related to the famous Freestyle singer Stevie B. He is her uncle.
