Dumle is a popular brand of yummy chocolate-covered toffees. These tasty treats are made by a company called Fazer. Dumle is known for its chewy caramel center and smooth chocolate coating.

The Sweet Story of Dumle

Dumle toffees have a long and interesting history. They first appeared in 1945.

Where Dumle Began

The very first Dumle sweets were made in 1945. A company called Mazetti, located in Malmö, Sweden, created them. The original sweet was a hard toffee lollipop covered in chocolate. It was a bit different from the Dumle we know today!

When Dumle Got Its Name

The sweet didn't get the name "Dumle" until 1960. Some people think the name might have come from a Swedish children's TV show. This show was called Humle och Dumle. It was one of the first TV shows ever broadcast in Sweden.

Dumle Joins the Fazer Family

In 1975, the company that made Dumle was bought by Fazer. Fazer is a well-known food company. Then, in 1987, Fazer made a new kind of Dumle. This new version had a much softer toffee inside. It was also wrapped in a candy wrapper, not on a stick. This is the Dumle original that many people enjoy today! These soft toffees are made in Vaarala, Vantaa, Finland.

Dumle's Delicious Varieties

Today, the Dumle brand offers more than just the original toffee. You can find a whole range of chocolate-covered caramels and toffees.

More Than Just Toffee

The Dumle family now includes different kinds of chocolates. There are even Dumle ice creams! This means you can enjoy the classic Dumle taste in many ways.

Fun Flavors and Limited Editions

Dumle loves to create new and exciting flavors. Over the years, they have made many special versions. These include flavors like apple, salty liquorice, and mint. You might also find gingerbread, mango-orange, cranberries, banana, or lime. Each special flavor often has a unique wrapper color. This makes them easy to spot and fun to collect!
