The dune snail, also known as Cernuella neglecta, is a small land snail. It breathes air and belongs to a group of animals called molluscs. This snail is part of the Geomitridae family.
This little snail has a shell that is white with brown stripes. It likes to live on chalk banks, which are hills or slopes made of chalk rock.
Where the Dune Snail Lives
This snail can be found in several countries and islands across Europe. It is not currently listed on the IUCN red list as endangered or threatened. This means experts have not yet fully checked its conservation status.
