The movie Dungeons & Dragons is a fantasy film from the year 2000. It was directed by Courtney Solomon. The story is based on the popular Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game. Some parts of the movie were filmed in a real place called Sedlec Ossuary. Famous actors like Richard O'Brien and Tom Baker also made short appearances.
Even though the movie did not earn a lot of money in theaters, a TV movie sequel was made in 2005. It was called Dungeons & Dragons: Wrath of the Dragon God. This sequel did not directly continue the first movie's story. A third movie, Dungeons & Dragons: The Book of Vile Darkness, was filmed in 2011. It was released straight to DVD in the United Kingdom in 2012.
