Marlon Lamont Wayans (born July 23, 1972) is an American actor, comedian, writer, and producer. He is famous for working with his brother Shawn Wayans. Together, they starred in the TV show The Wayans Bros. and made popular comedy movies.
Some of their most famous movies include Scary Movie (2000), Scary Movie 2 (2001), White Chicks (2004), and Little Man (2006). Marlon has also acted in serious movies, like the drama Requiem for a Dream (2000). He has appeared in action films like G.I. Early Life and Family
Marlon Wayans was born in New York City. His mother, Elvira, was a homemaker and social worker. His father, Howell, was a supermarket manager. Marlon grew up in a large family and was the youngest of ten children.
His family lived in the Fulton Houses, a housing project in New York. Many of his siblings also became famous in the entertainment industry, including Keenen Ivory Wayans, Damon Wayans, Kim Wayans, and Shawn Wayans.
Marlon attended the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. This is the same school that inspired the movie Fame. After high school, he went to Howard University in Washington, D.C., for two years before starting his career.
