Dwayne L. Polee Sr. (born March 2, 1963) is an American former professional basketball player and coach. He is currently the director of player development at the University of San Francisco. This means he helps basketball players improve their skills and grow as athletes. Before this, he worked at the University of Southern California from 2007 to 2010.
Dwayne Polee Sr. went to Manual Arts High School and graduated in 1981. He then attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas before moving to Pepperdine University in 1982. In 1986, he was chosen by the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA draft. He played one game with the Clippers during the 1986–87 season. He also played basketball in Mexico for two years with a team called Limoneros de Colima. After he stopped playing, Polee became an assistant coach at Los Angeles Southwest College for the 2000–01 season.

High School Basketball Star
Dwayne Polee Sr. was a very talented basketball player in high school. He was 6 feet 5 inches tall and could play both shooting guard and small forward. In 1981, he was named the Los Angeles City Section Player of the Year. This is a big award for high school basketball players in Los Angeles.
A Record-Breaking Game
Polee had an amazing game in the City championship. He scored 43 points, which was one of the best individual performances ever in that game. His team, Manual Arts, won 82–69 against Crenshaw High School. This exciting game was played at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena. A huge crowd of 14,123 people watched, which was the largest crowd for a city championship game at that time.
A Family of Basketball Talent
Dwayne Polee Sr. isn't the only basketball star in his family. His son, Dwayne Jr., also became a great high school player. In 2010, Dwayne Jr. won the Los Angeles City Section Player of the Year award while playing for Westchester High School.
Father and Son Achievement
This made Dwayne Sr. and Dwayne Jr. the second father-son duo to ever win this special award. It's a rare and impressive achievement for a family. Dwayne Jr. later played college basketball for San Diego State.
