Early Life and Education
EJ Johnson was born in Beverly Hills, California. His parents are Earvin "Magic" Johnson and Earlitha "Cookie" Johnson. He has an older brother named Andre and a younger sister named Elisa.
EJ grew up following the Pentecostal Christian faith. He went to New York University. There, he studied hospitality, focusing on how to plan and design events.
When EJ was 17, he shared with his family that he was true to himself. In 2013, this became public. His family fully supported him in sharing this part of his life.
Career in Television
EJ Johnson started his TV career in 2014. He joined the cast of the E! reality show Rich Kids of Beverly Hills. He was a regular cast member in the first season.
He then became a main cast member for the next three seasons. The show ended after four seasons. After that, EJ starred in his own reality show called EJNYC. This show was special because it was one of the first reality series to feature a young person of color from the LGBTQ community.
