Eastgate, Texas facts for kids
Eastgate is a small, undeveloped area in western Liberty County, Texas, United States. It is located about 33 miles northeast of the big city of Houston. An "unincorporated community" means it's a place where people live, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. Instead, it's governed by the county.

Eastgate's Beginnings
The idea for Eastgate was first planned out in 1911. However, the official paperwork to establish the community wasn't completed and filed until two years later, in 1913.
