Eastwood has a bit of history. A post office opened here in 1876. People used this post office to send and receive letters and packages. It served the community for many years. The post office eventually closed its doors in 1935.
Eastwood was also a stop for trains. There was a train station called Salem Station. This station was important for travel and trade in the area long ago.
