The Eby Shoe Corporation was once a very important shoe factory in Ephrata, Pennsylvania. It was also known as the Fleet-Air Corporation. This factory complex is made up of several historic buildings. For many years, it was a busy place where shoes were made for people.

The company closed its doors in 1985. However, its buildings are still standing. Because of their history, they were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. This means they are recognized as special places that are worth preserving.

The Factory Buildings

The Eby Shoe Corporation complex includes three main buildings. Each building was built at a different time. They show how the factory grew over the years.

Building "B"

Building "B" was constructed a bit later, between 1919 and 1920. It is a three-story building. This building is also made of brick and has a sloped roof. It is about 48 feet wide and 115 feet deep.

Building "C"

The newest of the three main buildings is Building "C". It was built in 1923. This building is the tallest, with four stories. It has a strong steel frame covered with a brick outside. Building "C" is 48 feet wide and 180 feet deep. This made it the largest building in the complex.
